In 1999 I left England to explore Spain, South America and Italy before starting Brown University in America. Returning four years later with a BA in Literature and a taste for adventure, I took up journalism which took me everywhere from British boxing rings to gangs of meerkats, deep in the Kalahari desert. I spent a year in London as a feature writer for Night and Day Magazine (The Mail on Sunday) followed by six months travelling through the Middle East. Since then I have been working freelance as a feature and travel writer on a number of publications from The Spectator to American Express Departures Magazine.
